Presenter Tanya Moxley
Loose parts in your outdoor play space doesn’t seem to be working as you expected? Or maybe it was great as first but interest has tapered off? Who is leading the outdoor play – teachers or children? This 2-session course will cover the benefits of loose parts in your outdoor space, discussion about hazards, risks vs benefits, interventions, adulteration, and the playwork principles. Talk with peers about what’s working or not, complete a risk-benefit analysis, and make a “shopping list” for what you’ll add to your play space at work this week. You’ll be expected to put those plans into action and return for the second session to engage in some analysis about how your plan worked, observations, and next steps.
