Let’s be capable, confident and curious as we begin to explore Nova Scotia’s Early Learning Curriculum Framework. This workshop will provide a an overview of Nova Scotia’s 5 principles of early learning; Play-based Learning, Relationships, Inclusion/Diversity/Equity, Learning Environments and Reflective Practice. In the afternoon, participants will have an opportunity to learn how educators across the province were successful implementing the curriculum during the pilot phase. In small groups participants will discover and share how they are currently embracing aspects of the curriculum by encouraging children to be capable, confident and curious learners. . Objectives: Participants will understand Nova Scotia’s five principles of early learning. Participants will learn how educators across the province successfully implemented the Nova Scotia curriculum. Participants will identify and share how their programs are currently embracing certain aspects of the Nova Scotia curriculum.
