All Together Now! Inclusion Support Group (virtual community of practice)

The All Together Now! Inclusion Support Group meets online the first Thursday of every month from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM. We share strategies, insights, and challenges as part of a learning community dedicated to improving our capacity to support the inclusion of children with disabilities and developmental delays in early childhood programs.

The group is facilitated by Carrie Melsom, EYCDC Program Services Coordinator. All Together Now! members include administrators and inclusion resource/teachers in Early Childhood Programs, and anyone who is interested in supporting the inclusion process.

Members gain:

• Increased knowledge and awareness of inclusion issues
• increased awareness of personal leadership strengths and areas for growth
• Increased personal awareness of one’s own values, beliefs, perspectives, motives, and interpersonal needs
• Practical tools, supports and links to shared resources
• A network of supportive colleagues

A community of practice is a special kind of professional development where the questions that are explored come from the participants from their own work experiences. Sessions are highly interactive and focused on supporting each other in our best thinking. Topics will ebb and flow over the 10 sessions and we will likely re-visit some topics many times digging a little more deeply each time.
