Part 2: Tue, May 24, 7-9pm
Total PD hours: 4 hours
Location: Interactive Online Zoom Sessions
Facilitator: Amy Sullivan
Part 1. Compassion Fatigue
Early Childhood Educators are natural care givers. That which makes us good at what we do is also what makes
it challenging; and compassion fatigue is the cost of caring too much. Together we can discover how this
impacts your work and strategize for improvement. Participants will learn what compassion fatigue is, how
their own personal stress affects their body and strategies to support managing their stress.
Part 2. Self Regulation and Self Care
Participants will learn about self regulation as it relates to them personally, recognize signs both physically and
emotionally and work through strategies to assist them in regulating in the moment. Participants will also learn
what self care is and is not, they will do some reflection and create a self care plan.
