In this workshop Matthew Sampson and Kelly Mowat will discuss how to work with school-age children in a way that they feel connected, invested and empowered as members of the school-age classroom.

Topics addressed will include;
-the presenter’s foundational philosophy of the Reggio Emilia approach and Emergent curriculum as fundamental to children’s authentic involvement
-the importance of developing trust
-taking a critical look at our image of the child
-the significance of environmental design
-the impact of conversations
