This two day long workshop will provide information to early childhood educators on the updated diagnostic criteria of Autism Spectrum Disorders & describe the current process for receiving services in Nova Scotia.   Participants will spend most of the day working  through the process of identifying learning styles & developing behavioural & learning  strategies best matched to individual strengths & needs.  Presenters will provide examples of hands on teaching tools & materials & share suggestions with participants on how to customize materials based on children’s individual needs & interests.
PLEASE NOTE: Participants should have  previous basic knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorders & be comfortable working in groups sharing experiences & developing strategies.
