DescriptionIncreasingly the importance of time in the outdoors is being recognized as a key component to supporting holistic development in the early years & an essential part of ECE. In this 3-part workshop we will go deeper into why supporting this relationship matters & what it really means to support children’s relationships with nature. Educators will be asked to move beyond thinking about supporting this relationship only in terms of having access to wild outdoor green space & engage with what they are already doing &/or the possibilities that exist around them with fresh eyes. Together we will explore & think critically about how this relationship can be supported for all children in all early learning settings & deepen our understandings of this relationship within ourselves in order to expand pedagogy.
Part 1 Revisiting our Foundation
Part 2 My Nature Pedagogy
Part 3 Building a Lasting Relationship
Workshop Goals: Educators will revisit & expand their understanding of what it means to support children’s relation-ships with nature & why supporting this relationship matters for all children ,
