Join Tanya Moxley for a hands-on workshop on loose parts and discuss the value of risk taking and unstructured play.
In this hands-on, interactive workshop, you will expand your ideas about loose parts, discuss why they are important in play and child development, and dive into the benefits of the loose parts play. You will reflect and explore the concepts of risk related to loose parts and the role of adults (educators) in responding to it by using the framework of Playwork Principles. You will brainstorm the ideas for adding loose parts to your learning environments and even get to play yourself!
