Learn about intergenerational and cultural trauma for families and discuss strategies for providing support as early childhood educators.
Join Emily Martinello and SJ Jones for this interactive workshop offers information about the categories of trauma with a focus on intergenerational and cultural trauma, effects of trauma on children and families, attachment theory, microaggressions, and our role as Early Childhood Educators as supports. Together, participants will map out the far reaching effects of trauma in family units to help us better understand our own biases. Participants will understand how intergenerational trauma can impact parenting and discuss the role of Early Childhood Educators in supporting children and families who have experienced trauma.
