areas of risk children need to experience (physical,
creative, social and emotional), and how well-meaning
adults often undermine it. We’ll look at social rejection,
conflict, unstructured play and ways to offer healthy risk to
our children.
Getting Comfortable with True Play
Play-yes! It’s great. But how do we make changes and truly
welcome children’s play ideas into the classroom? We’ll
look at classroom schedules, environments and adult
expectations. We’ll see what belongs there and what we
can change to make room for more meaningful forms of
play and learning.
