Workshop #1 (of an 8 part series)
This workshop will examine the history of the Reggio Emilia approach to Early Childhood Education. We will explore the image of the child as one who is capable and competent of guiding their own learning. We will consider the traditional role of the teacher and begin to reframe that role as one who nurtures and supports rather than directs. Participants will be encouraged to reflect on their image of the child and their role as a teacher.
